“Walk for Liberty” Overview
The “Walk for Liberty” campaign is a door-to-door project that has TWO important objectives. First, it aims to reach 100,000 Republican primary voters with important information they need to know about me, and about George Allen. Second, it will gather the 10,000 petition signatures needed to place my name on the Republican primary ballot for U.S. Senate this June.
Watch the video above to learn how the “Walk for Liberty” campaign is going. After watching the video, you can review the forms below for additional information how the campaign works.
Thank you for all the hard work you’re doing to help $ave America from Politicians!
All my Best,
RELATED INFORMATION:
1. “Walk for Liberty” Instructions: This is a “how to” resource – - both for volunteers and notaries alike.
2. Blank Petitions: If you are unable to participate in the “Walk for Liberty” but would like to help, you can print out a blank petition (print it double sided on one sheet of paper) and get signatures from registered voters in your neighborhood, at work, at church or at the Republican Presidential Primary on March 6.
Blank Petition Instructions
- This petition must be printed two-sided or it will not be counted. This is 8.5.x11 size paper, so you can print on your printer. Print the first side, feed the paper back into your printer, and print on the back side.
- At the top of the form where it says, “We, the qualified voters in the district in which the above candidate seeks nomination or election and of ________________________(county or city)…” You just need to fill in that blank to say “Fairfax” for all those who live in Fairfax. If you happen to be in a different county collecting signatures, take another blank form and fill in the appropriate county. For example, if you have people signing who live in Prince William, you will need a separate form for Prince William, etc. Petition signatures must be collected by county, so PLEASE make sure that you have a separate petition form for each county/city in your area.
- You must be a registered voter to collect signatures for this ballot petition, so if you print off blank copies and give them to anyone to help, make sure they are a registered a voter.
- You must personally witness each signature. You can’t start a petition and have someone else finish it.
- Make sure individuals who sign understand this simply allows my name to be printed on the ballot. It is not an endorsement and doesn’t mean they are committed to voting for me.
- Individuals can sign more than one candidate’s petition.
- Before you mail back the completed petitions to my campaign headquarters, you need to have them notarized. Usually your local bank or real estate office will notarize for free. Make sure you wait to get in front of the notary to fill out any of the information in the affidavit section.
- The only requirement for someone to sign my petition is that they must be a registered voter in Virginia. We don’t have party registration in Virginia, so people don’t have to be registered Republicans to sign.
- Make sure the person writes clearly and legibly, or it will get thrown out by State Board of Elections.
- Mail the petitions back to: 9840 Midlothian Tnpk, Ste. R, Midlothian, VA 23235
